GRAND HAVEN, Mich. – Florida A&M Men's Golf begins the 2026 fall season competing in the fifth annual Folds of Honor Collegiate running September 7-9, taking place at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan. This year's tournament will again feature 15 men's teams and 12 women's teams, with a field made up of elite Division I talent, a Division II qualifier, the Service Academies, and two (2) Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU) – one of those being Florida A&M.

The 2026 Folds of Honor Collegiate is co-hosted by Michigan State and Florida State, and the field will feature some of the elite college teams in the country. This includes 20 teams that were represented at the 2026 NCAA Regionals, 11 that advanced to the NCAA Championships, and 12 that ended the Spring ranked inside the top 35 in the country.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Originally the site of Grand Haven Golf Club, American Dunes Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course on the southwest Michigan shoreline. The original course was built in 1965 and closed in 2018. The site was overhauled in 2019 before it reopened as American Dunes on Memorial Day 2020.
 
Jack Nicklaus donated his $3 million USD design fee; 18 other individuals sponsored a hole each and five investors backed the project to create not only the golf course but also a tribute to the birthplace of Fold of Honor. Folds of Honor refers to the 13 folds of the American flag when it is used ceremonially or stored. The Folds of Honor a charity provides scholarships to families of America's fallen or disabled military and 1st responders. The club is known as the "Church Jack Built".
 
The club motto is God. Country. Golf. That comes through with the ultra-patriotic displays on show in full force - even the carts are red, white and blue.

LAST TIME OUT FOR THE RATTLERS
Sascha Robinson shot a final-round 65 and Florida A&M University claimed the PGA Works Collegiate Championship Individual Champion, finishing at 8-under par and 12 strokes clear of the field in a dominant three-round performance that left no doubt about which program stands atop the HBCU landscape.

The Rattlers posted a 54-hole team total of 844 – rounds of 280, 287 and 277 – to outpace runner-up North Carolina A&T State University (856) by 12 strokes to claim the PGA Works Collegiate Championship Team Championship. Prairie View A&M University finished third at +22 (874), while Alabama State University (890, +38), Alabama A&M University (894, +42) and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (896, +44) rounded out the six-team field.

Robinson was the undisputed star of the tournament. The Florida A&M standout carded rounds of 67-69-65 for a 201 total, finishing at 12-under par – eight shots clear of Alabama State's Quade Woods (209, -4) in the individual standings. Robinson's closing 65 was the low round of the tournament's final day and a statement from one of the sport's rising talents.

The championship was a collective effort. Phalatphon Viboonviriyasakul posted rounds of 68-74-71 for a 213 total (even par) and finished fourth individually, providing crucial team scoring throughout the week. Emilio Garcia and Skyler Woods each finished tied for ninth at +4 (217).

FAMU's low final-round score of 277 was the best team round of the tournament's closing 18 holes, highlighting a Rattler squad that not only led wire-to-wire but accelerated down the stretch when rivals applied pressure. North Carolina A&T, paced by Pedro Pereira's final-round 67 and a third-place individual finish at -2 (211), made a late charge with a team round of 276, but the Rattlers' lead proved insurmountable.

For Florida A&M, the national title represents the culmination of a program-building effort rooted in recruiting international talent, building competitive depth and establishing a culture of excellence on the course. The Rattlers entered the final round with a slim advantage and turned it into a rout – a reflection of a program that performs at its best on the biggest stage.

North Carolina A&T's Drew Walker and Ignacio Zapata each tied for fifth at +1 (214), while Prairie View A&M's Joah Bramwell also shared that spot. The Aggies of A&T finished with a trio in the top six individually, making them the clearest challengers to FAMU's crown – but on this week, the Rattlers were in a class of their own.

Florida A&M University enters the offseason as national champions, a title earned by the deepest, most complete team in the field. Rattler golf has arrived – and based on the roster returning, the dynasty may be just getting started.
